Project Admin (Canada)

AP Dynamics is looking for a talented and self-motivated Project Admin to join our team in Calgary, AB. The Project Admin will be responsible for the following duties:

  • Project set up
    • – Set up projects in Unanet and corresponding mapping to QuickBooks
    • – Keeping client information up to date
    • – Supporting the Project Managers
  • Project Tracking and Documentation
    • – Document control
    • – Monitor project progress, prepare status reports for management weekly

Account Manager (USA)

AP Dynamics is looking for a ambitious and energetic Account Manager to join our team in Houston, TX. The Account Manager will be responsible for the following duties:

• Identify and validate business prospects and opportunities in the Oil&Gas industry
• Develop, maintain and broaden good business relationship with existing and prospective clients
• Host meetings with executives and key clients
• Develop and implement effective strategies to gain new business
• Work closely with other internal departments to ensure the needs of the client is fulfilled in a timely manner and any issues resolved

Senior FEA Engineer (Canada)

AP Dynamics is looking for a talented and self-motivated Senior FEA Engineer to join our team in Calgary, AB. The Senior FEA Engineer will be responsible for the following duties:

  • Perform finite element analysis in Abaqus.
  • Perform FEA for a variety of equipment and structures including pipelines.
  • Perform stress analysis and pressure vessel studies.
  • Perform linear and non-linear analysis in Abaqus.
  • Manage projects including scope of work, quality, technical reviews, deliverables, schedule and deadlines, budget.
  • Supervise and review the work of the project team members and provide support, if required to meet project objectives.
  • Apply criteria given in codes and standards in the preparation of design recommendations.
  • Write detailed reports as required.
  • Develop methodologies required for the analysis and studies of the project.
  • Work effectively as a multi-disciplinary project team member.

AP Dynamics is looking for a talented and self-motivated Junior Engineer to join our team in Houston, TX with the possibility of the first year being remote.  The Junior Engineer will be responsible for the following duties:

  • Perform FEA for a variety of equipment and structures including pipelines.
  • Perform stress analysis and pressure vessel studies.
  • Design piping systems according to ASME B31 codes.
  • Apply criteria given in codes and standards in the preparation of design recommendations.
  • Write detailed technical reports as required.
  • Complete the assigned task according to project budget and schedule.
  • Submit progress reports when required.
  • Participate in project meetings.
  • Follow methodologies required for the analysis and studies of the project.
  • Work collaboratively with Project Mangers, multidisciplinary Project Engineers, CAD designers, and other technical disciplines as part of a combined integrated team.
  • Estimate workload requirements for assigned effort.
  • Work towards obtaining PE Status within 4 years and maintaining engineer status with appropriate state engineering board.
  • Enhance positive client relationships, and

Field Vibration Analyst (Canada)

AP Dynamics is looking for a talented and self-motivated Field Vibration Analyst to join our team in Calgary, AB. The Field Vibration Analyst will be responsible for the following duties:

  • Conduct field measurements surveys for new or existing facilities at clients’ sites predominantly in North America, however, worldwide client sites are possible. The travels are expected to be up to 50% of the time.
  • Collect vibration, strain, and pulsation measurements to identify sources of concerns.
  • Perform field data analysis and post-processing.
  • Produce detailed vibration analysis reports including recommendations for reducing vibration and improving overall design.
  • Demonstrate effective client engagement, problem solving, effective communication, passion, and excellent technical knowledge within the team and on site.
  • Travel to client’s site up to 50% of the time.
  • Enhance recommendations through computer analysis and validate with field data.
  • Apply industry vibration guideline, codes and standards criteria in the preparation of design recommendations.
  • Adhere to AP Dynamics EH&S policies.
  • Work effectively as a multi-disciplinary project team member.
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with clients and colleagues, and
  • Perform other related duties as required.

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering; other disciplines with relevant experience (field vibration analysis) may be considered.
  • Training in Vibration Analysis (e.g. VCAT 2 or equivalent)
  • Previous experience in Oil&Gas facilities and rotating equipment.
  • 2 – 5 years of field experience in troubleshooting and vibration measurements.
  • Experience in Engineering Consulting firm is considered a strong asset.
  • Must be a Canadian citizen or authorized to work lawfully in Canada, without sponsorship. Must maintain a valid passport to travel outside Canada.
  • Physically capable and willing to execute site work (carrying heavy measurement equipment, working at height, etc.)
  • Experience with programming language: Python and Excel VBA.
  • Knowledge with industry guideline and standards related to vibration assessments (e.g. ISO 10863, API 617, API 618, API 674, EFRC, etc.).
  • Proficient in standard windows software.
  • Experience in the application of strain gauging and multichannel data acquisition is considered an asset.
  • Experience managing small projects with tight deadlines is considered an asset.
  • Strong technical writing skills.
  • Good communication skills.
