Stress Engineer

  • Perform finite element based pipe stress and pressure vessel analysis
  • Perform FEA for a variety of equipment and structures including pipelines
  • Apply criteria given in codes and standards in the preparation of design recommendations
  • Write detailed reports as required
  • Ensure that designs are safe, efficient, effective and manufacturable
  • Adhere to AP Dynamics and client standards

  • Bachelor or Master Degree in Mechanical or Civil Engineering
  • Register with APEGA as an EIT or P.Eng

Senior CFD Engineer

  • Performs computational fluid dynamic analysis

  • Works effectively as a multi-disciplinary project team member

  • Master Degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • Registered in Canada as a Professional Engineer
  • 3 – 5 years of experience in the field of CFD engineering
  • Proficient with OpenFoam
  • Proficient with Ansys CFX and Ansys Fluent
  • Experience in modelling combustion
  • Knowledge with fluid-structure interaction
  • Strong customer focus

Field Vibration Analyst/Engineer

  • Conduct field measurements including vibration, strain, torsional, and pulsation at clients’ sites predominantly in North America, however, worldwide client sites are possible.
  • Troubleshoot rotating machinery and static equipment issues through data analysis.
  • Produce timely and detailed technical reports complying with professional standards.
  • Interact with site personnel to solve machinery issues.
  • Ensure that designs are efficient, effective, economical, and complying with standards.
  • Adhere to AP Dynamics EH&S policy at all time.
  • Work effectively as a multi-disciplinary project team member.
  • Develop strong customer relationships with the desire of exceeding expectations.
  • Perform other related duties as required.

  • BSMET or BSME.
  • Must be eligible for membership or an existing member of ASET as a C.E.T or APEGA as an E.I.T.
  • 3 – 5 years of field experience in troubleshooting and vibration measurement.
  • Strong interest in vibration, troubleshooting, rotating machinery, design, and reliability.
  • Proficient in standards Windows software.
  • Experience in multichannel data acquisition, knowledge of National Instruments software and hardware is an asset.
  • Experience managing small projects with strong customer focus.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, interpersonal and analytical skills.
  • Position requires up to 50% travel, mainly in Canada.
  • Self-motivated to further engineering skills and knowledge.

Rotating Equipment Business Line Manager

  • Develop and manage our rotating equipment business line
  • Monitor individual and overall business line performance in line with the organization’s objectives
  • Manage stress and vibration projects for a variety of rotating equipment packages (reciprocating compressors and pumps, screw compressors, etc.)
  • Prepare, submit and follow up on proposals as required
  • Provide expertise in technical and non-technical leadership including personal development, coaching, mentoring
  • Develop and maintain a technology workforce with the appropriate mix of business knowledge, technical skills and competencies
  • Drive a strong customer service mindset
  • Provide technical leadership for piping stress and vibration analysis
  • Provide technical leadership for acoustical pulsation analysis
  • Enhance positive client relationships
  • Contribute to overall positive environment and culture

  • Bachelor or Master Degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • Registration as P.Eng with APEGA
  • 5-10 years in rotating equipment vibration analysis
  • Experience with managing both short and long-term projects with strong customer focus
  • Experience leading a team of 10+ engineers
  • Experience managing and working with a multidisciplinary team
  • Demonstrated knowledge of API 618, 619 and 674
  • Proficient with standard Windows software
  • Knowledge of Bentley AutoPIPE and PULS considered a strong asset
