Corporate Controller (Canada)

AP Dynamics is looking for a talented and motivated Corporate Controller to join our team in Calgary, AB. The Corporate Controller will be responsible for the following duties:

  • Providing leadership, direction, and management of the finance team.
  • Perform and/ or supervise all bookkeeping activities of each entity of the organization. Maintain required records in compliance with laws and regulations.
  • Be accountable to produce and to file all legal and regulatory documents required by tax authorities, government funding agencies, financial institutions, and any other similar organizations. Monitor compliance with laws and regulations.
  • Oversee the preparation of all financial reporting.
  • Assist with high-level decisions about policy and strategy.
  • Create annual budget and monitor financial performance by measuring and analyzing results, initiating corrective actions, and minimizing the impact of variances.
  • Review financial reports to identify and address financial risks and opportunities for the company. Propose options to optimize costs.
  • Supervise and be accountable for all invoicing activities.
  • Review with Business Line Managers quarterly project performance reports.
  • Produce monthly financial reporting (balance sheet, P&L, A/R aging) for the Vice President of Operations.
  • Manage cash flow and propose actions as needed.
  • Participate in development of payment term policies for suppliers and clients and enforce them.
  • Inform the Vice President of Operations about client insolvency.
  • Participate in grant, subsidies, loan applications and perform follow-up activities.
  • Produce and review with the Vice President of Operations cost-benefit analysis as required.
  • Manage and develop relationships with stakeholders, including but not limited to tax authorities, government funding agencies, accounting firms, financial institutions.
  • Obtain funding for various initiatives.
  • Prepare and participate at financial audits.
  • Supervise benefits and payroll activities.
  • Review contract terms and conditions. Hire and collaborate with lawyers, if required.
  • Participate in the weekly executive meeting and communicate the appropriate information to his/her team.
  • Define, get approval, implement, and check the application of company’s financial controls and procedures.
  • Participate in new employee orientation. Maintain employee records. Get a signed copy of any and all acknowledgment forms.
  • Ensure HR policies and employment contracts of the company comply with appropriate laws and regulations.
  • Help with recruiting new staff members as required.
  • Ensure finance employees have SMART objectives and conduct annual employee performance review of the finance team.
  • Train and coach assistants of the finance team as required.
  • Maintain CPA status with CPA Alberta.
  • Participate in compensation management of the finance team.
  • Participate in the AP Dynamics Health and Safety Program according to the level of responsibility.

Account Manager (USA)

AP Dynamics is looking for a ambitious and energetic Account Manager to join our team in Houston, TX. The Account Manager will be responsible for the following duties:

• Identify and validate business prospects and opportunities in the Oil&Gas industry
• Develop, maintain and broaden good business relationship with existing and prospective clients
• Host meetings with executives and key clients
• Develop and implement effective strategies to gain new business
• Work closely with other internal departments to ensure the needs of the client is fulfilled in a timely manner and any issues resolved
• Inform the leadership team of market conditions, competitors, relationship management and collaborative opportunities

FEA Engineer (Canada)

AP Dynamics is looking for a talented and self-motivated Senior FEA Engineer to join our team in Calgary, AB. The Senior FEA Engineer will be responsible for the following duties:

  • Perform finite element analysis in Abaqus.
  • Perform FEA for a variety of equipment and structures including pipelines.
  • Perform stress analysis and pressure vessel studies.
  • Perform linear and non-linear analysis in Abaqus.
  • Manage projects including scope of work, quality, technical reviews, deliverables, schedule and deadlines, budget.
  • Supervise and review the work of the project team members and provide support, if required to meet project objectives.
  • Apply criteria given in codes and standards in the preparation of design recommendations.
  • Write detailed reports as required.
  • Develop methodologies required for the analysis and studies of the project.
  • Work effectively as a multi-disciplinary project team member.

Junior Engineer (USA)

AP Dynamics is looking for a talented and self-motivated Junior Engineer to join our team in Houston, TX with the possibility of the first year being remote.  The Junior Engineer will be responsible for the following duties:

  • Perform FEA for a variety of equipment and structures including pipelines.
  • Perform stress analysis and pressure vessel studies.
  • Design piping systems according to ASME B31 codes.
  • Apply criteria given in codes and standards in the preparation of design recommendations.
  • Write detailed technical reports as required.
  • Complete the assigned task according to project budget and schedule.
  • Submit progress reports when required.
  • Participate in project meetings.
  • Follow methodologies required for the analysis and studies of the project.
  • Work collaboratively with Project Mangers, multidisciplinary Project Engineers, CAD designers, and other technical disciplines as part of a combined integrated team.
  • Estimate workload requirements for assigned effort.

Field Vibration Analyst (USA)

AP Dynamics is looking for a talented and self-motivated Field Analyst to join our team in Houston, TX. The Field Analyst will be responsible for the following duties:

  • Conduct field measurements including vibration, strain, torsional, and pulsation at clients’ sites predominantly in United States, however, worldwide client sites are possible.
  • Troubleshoot rotating machinery and static equipment issues through data analysis.
  • Produce timely and detailed technical reports complying with professional standards.
  • Maintain and develop client relationships, including new business opportunities
  • Interact with site personnel to solve machinery issues.
  • Ensure that designs are efficient, effective, economical, and complying with standards.
  • Adhere to AP Dynamics EH&S policy at all time.
