AP Dynamics is looking for a talented and motivated Administrative Assistant to join our team in Calgary, AB. The Administrative Assistant will be responsible for the following duties:

  • Providing administrative support to ensure efficient operation of office.

Senior CAD Drafter/Designer (USA)

AP Dynamics is looking for a talented and self-motivated Senior CAD Drafter/Designer to join our team in Houston, TX. The Senior CAD Drafter/Designer is responsible for producing drawings related to Oil & Gas Facilities and Pipelines.  The Senior CAD Drafter/Designer shall be experienced in producing mechanical, piping, and isometrics and also be familiar with civil, process, electrical, and instrumentation and control drawings.

The Senior CAD Drafter/Designer will be responsible for the following duties:

  • Prepare all types of piping drawings including PFD’s, P&ID’s, plot plans, equipment layouts, general arrangements, and isometric drawings using 2D and 3D CAD software.
  • Prepare all types of piping deliverables including LDT, specialty item lists, pipe support details, spring support lists / details, valve lists, BOM’s for piping materials, etc.
  • Occasionally preparing some civil / structural / architectural general layout drawings, in accordance with established drafting standards, in line with good engineering and drafting practices.
  • Manage multiple deliverables effectively.
  • Ability to interface with multiple disciplines.
  • Perform squad checks of vendor equipment drawings and drawings from other disciplines.
  • Review fabricator drawings.
  • Ensure the quality of deliverables being issued meet project and corporate standards.
  • Visit remote project sites, field locations and vendor shops as required.

  • Minimum 5 years of industry related experience.
  • Advanced knowledge of piping design and plant layout.

  • Conduct field measurements including vibration, strain, torsional, and pulsation at clients’ sites predominantly in United States, however, worldwide client sites are possible.

  • Perform FEA for a variety of equipment and structures including pipelines.
  • Perform stress analysis and pressure vessel studies.
  • Design piping systems according to ASME B31 codes.
  • Apply criteria given in codes and standards in the preparation of design recommendations.
