One of the most important challenges of the design of pipelines is the assessment of extreme environments including a range of geohazards. AP Dynamics has a long and proven track record of working with clients to design and assess consequences of geohazards on pipeline operation and integrity.

Geohazards are natural processes of a geologic, geomorphologic, or hydrogeologic nature that vary regionally. Key elements of pipeline geohazard mitigation include geohazard  identification, assessment of the rupture risk, pipeline/soil interaction analysis, and strain-based design.

To ensure that a high-quality installation can be safely constructed and maintained with reasonable costs, we combine our geotechnical expertise with a strong understanding of geohazards, and pipeline practices to provide comprehensive variety of analyses, including but not limited to:

  • Slope Stability
  • Fault Crossing
  • Soil Liquefaction
  • Surface Heave
  • Settlement
